You might be surprised to learn that British actress Keira Knightley wears wigs.
The Pirates Of The Caribbean and Love Actually star, 35, revealed back in 2016 that she had suffered hair loss as a direct result of her Hollywood career.
Taking on different roles for different movies meant she ended up dying her locks far too often - with disastrous concequences.
Keira told InStyle magazine: “I have dyed my hair virtually every colour imaginable for different film.
”It got so bad that my hair literally began to fall out of my head! So for the past five years I’ve used wigs, which is the greatest thing that’s ever happened to my hair.”

US actress and singer Zendaya loves nothing more than popping on a wig for a red carpet appearance.
Over the years, she has turned up to showbiz events with everything from blunt bobs to pixie cuts and wows every single time.
And The Greatest Showman’s Zendaya, 24, is loud and proud about her choice.
Growing increasingly frustrated, she once told her millions of Instagram followers: "So many people get stressed every time I wear a different hairstyle on the red carpet.
“It's called a wig people, okay? W-I-G, say it with me now, wig.”
Pop star Katy Perry keeps things fresh by switching up her hair colour fairly frequently.
But half the time it isn’t even her real hair!
The Roar star, 35, is a huge fan of wigs and has slayed dozens of them throughout her showbiz career.
Katy’s hair stylist Shon Hyungsun Ju previously told Refinery 29 that the US singer keeps him on his toes thanks to her rather wild vision.
Putting it more politely than that, he said: "Katy is a client that constantly challenges me creatively.
”Her wigs are always unique, but need to look as realistic as possible - there's no retouching on the red carpet!”
It seems like he always rises to the challenge to me!
Adele gives her wigs names (Credit: Backgrid)
British singer and all round icon Adele loves a good wig to give herself a thicker head of hair.
In fact, she adores them so much that she has been known to name them in the past!
During an appearance on America’s CBS way back in 2012, Adele spilled her secret while giving a reporter a tour of the Los Angeles mansion she lived in at the time.
While showing the camera several wigs strewn across her giant bed, the Rolling In The Deep star - who is now a mum-of-one - admitted that one was called Jackie, after the now-late novelist Jackie Collins.
Adele, now 32, also said she had called another one June, after the late singer June Carter (who was married to Johnny Cash).
Just another reason why I love this woman.
Although she is more partial to her own hair nowadays, there was a time when Ariana Grande relied heavily on both wigs and hairpieces.
If you cast your mind back, she very much liked to sport a half up and half down look - and that wasn’t her own hair.
Cast your mind even further back to when Ariana starred as Cat, in the Nickelodeon series Sam and Cat. Remember her red hair?
Ariana, now 27, later admitted: “I had to bleach my hair and dye it red every other week for the first four years of playing Cat.
“As one would assume, that completely destroyed my hair.”
Beyonce wears wigs and weaves when on stage (Credit: Backgrid)
Queen Bey has been in the spotlight forever and, over the years, we have seen many amazing hairstyles in all manner of lengths and colours.
But has it always been her real tresses we have been seeing?
Well, it appears that while Beyonce, 39, loves to mix thing up with wigs and weaves on stage, off stage we often see the natural and beautiful locks she has underneath.
Beyonce’s longtime hairstylist Neal Farinah appeared to set the record straight back in 2017 after the super star posed for an Instagram shot with stunning curly hair.
He rather cryptically, but tellingly (I think!), said in his own Instagram video: "Sometimes women make choices, and black women are not the only ones who wear wigs and weaves and pieces — remember that.
"And underneath wigs and weaves, black women have some of the most beautiful, curly hair. It's a choice women make - and that's the choice a black woman makes, to wear wigs or weaves, if she wants to.
“Ain't nothing wrong with it. So, the myth about black women not having hair? Y'all think again, 'cause they have some of the most beautiful, textured hair. Recognise.”
If you aren’t fortunate enough to have hair like Beyonce’s natural locks (let’s face it, not many of us are), you can snap up her look for just £40 thanks to Castaway Beauty’s Beyonce Balayage Brown Lace Front wig.
